MRI/US fusion targeted biopsy is a technique involves using different software platforms to integrate the MRI data to the ultrasound for a more accurate biopsy. It has the advantages of reducing the detection of clinically insignificant disease, maximizing the detection of clinically significant cancer, along with better assessment of disease size, grade, and location.
